Over one hundred pieces from the Khalili Collection, considered to be the world’s finest collection of Spanish nineteenth-century damascene metalwork. The exhibition includes chests, vases, jewellery, and objects from everyday life, displaying the mastery and technique of leading artists of this technique, including Plácido Zuloaga (1834-1910). Educational activities are provided based on the damascene inlay technique, and a competition entitled “Deadly Beautiful” with prizes for those children who show the greatest creativity.
Venue: Salon of the National Museum of Archaeology, Valletta.
Admission to the exhibition will be included in the admission price to the Museum: Members Free; Adults €5; Students (12 years upwards) & Seniors €3.50; Children (6 to 11 years) €2.50.
