The Malta Youth Orchestra has launched a call for auditions for young, budding musicians.

Selected musicians will be offered the opportunity to perform with experienced conductors and guest artists in some of the most prestigious venues in Malta.

All those who play the flute, bassoon, trumpet, horn, violin, viola, cello, double bass or any other orchestral instrument and have a standard equivalent to Grade 7 (ABRSM / Trinity Guildhall / London College of Music) or higher, (although one doesn't need to have taken any exams) are eligible to apply.

Musicians will have the opportunity to perform in three grand concerts in December, April and the spectacular Malta Philharmonic Orchestra and Malta Youth Orchestra concert at St George's Square, Valletta.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to sit for an audition.
