ANNUAL OPEN DAY
Thursday 1st May 2014 from 10.00 – 17.00hrs
A full-day of events comprising of guided tours, hands-on activities, historical re-enactments and film shows.
With this year being the 100th anniversary from the start of WWI special emphasis will be made on commemorating that conflict. A full-sized trench replica has been built for this occasion complete with sandbags and wire entanglements. A section attack from this trench will be recreated in the early afternoon.
Throughout the day members of the public will be able to visit the fort and the trench, join guided tours, watch film shows and view the various hands-on displays.
Refreshments: Available on the premises thus allowing the public to follow ALL the special events laid out for this day.
