On the occasion of International Museum Day, Heritage Malta is offering free admission to three of its main sites in Valletta. Spend a day in the capital on Thursday, May 18 and visit the National Museum of Archaeology, St. Elmo's Fort and the MUŻA for free!
This year's theme for International Museum Day is "Museums, Sustainability and Wellness". To that end, Heritage Malta will show you how museums can contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals, including supporting climate action, promoting inclusion, combating social isolation, and improving mental health. As mirrors of national identity and key contributors to community well-being, the use of museums has a positive impact on society.
To make the most of this fantastic opportunity, two tours will be offered at each site, one at 11:00 am in Maltese and the other at 2:00 pm in English.
Tour tickets are available at all HM museums and sites, or online. Normal museum opening hours apply (10am-6pm, last admission at 5:30pm).
