One for young, curious folk!
On Saturday 22nd February, Heritage Malta is inviting children aged between 7 and 12 years to explore the world of ancient Rome – its religion and mythology – in a unique afternoon at Villa Portelli in Kalkara.
The activity will focus on a number of sculpture busts of Roman gods and emperors found adorning parts of the villa, which are currently housed in a room inside the building, undergoing restoration.
Participants will learn about the mythology associated with these sculptures and why the Romans are still influential nowadays. They will finally engage in a miniature temple-building craft activity.
Tickets cost €15 which, including admission for an accompanying adult, and they can be booked online here: https://heritagemalta.mt/store/e1666/ or at any of Heritage Malta's museums and sites.
