Malta Public Transport is the private company operating the National Bus Service in Malta, with a large fleet of accessible, air-conditioned & environmentally friendly buses. The card is personalised with your photo and name and can be topped up with credit easily online, over the phone, at MPT’s sales outletssales outlets or at any MaltaPost post office. This card can be used to travel on all the buses in Malta and Gozo. Your credit will not expire. By simply tapping the Tallinja Card on the reader next to the driver every time you board the bus, you will automatically benefit from cheaper fares than cash tickets bought on the bus. A fare for every journey is deducted automatically from your available credit. While children aged 4 and under travel for free, different cards and fares are available for older children, students, adults, concession card holders & Gozo residents. Real-time information on bus arrival times is available on the tallinja app, which you may download for free from Google Play or App Store.
