The Main Guard, standing proudly opposite the Grand Master's Palace in Valletta, has a thousand stories to tell and an uncanny knack of portraying them – through the hundreds of pictures painted on its walls.

You are invited to the official launch of one of Heritage Malta's latest publications, focusing on the sui generis collection of wall paintings adorning the main spaces of this iconic building. Titled 'British Army Murals at the Main Guard', and authored by Denis Darmanin, a highly respected connoisseur of British military history, this publication is the fifth title in the Heritage Malta Monograph Series.
The launch will be complimented by a brief overview of the exhaustive conservation project being undertaken by the Agency. The book's lavish illustrations and design are by the acclaimed photographer Daniel Cilia.
